What are the differences compared to braces?
Aesthetics: Invisalign aligners are transparent and almost imperceptible, which allows you to correct the position of your teeth without affecting your appearance. With Invisalign you can smile confidently throughout the treatment.
No chafing or ulcers: Fixed braces can cause discomfort, ulcers and irritation because of the metal brackets and wires. Invisalign, on the other hand, is made from a smooth material with no sharp edges.
Removable: Unlike fixed braces, Invisalign aligners are removable. You can take them out to eat and brush your teeth, which makes it easier to maintain excellent oral hygiene and means no food restrictions.
Fewer visits: With traditional braces you need to come to the clinic frequently for tightenings and adjustments. With Invisalign, check-ups are less frequent and part of the follow-up is done digitally through ClinCheck®.
Predictable results: Thanks to iTero® and ClinCheck® technology, Invisalign allows you to see a 3D simulation of your final result before starting treatment. This helps us plan every tooth movement with millimetre precision.
Easier oral hygiene: With fixed braces, food and plaque build-up is more common, increasing the risk of tooth decay and gum disease. With removable clear aligners, brushing and interdental cleaning are much simpler.
Step by step
How an Invisalign treatment works
Free initial consultation
At your first visit, we carry out a comprehensive study of your mouth to assess your case and define your objectives. We take X-rays, photographs and bite analysis to design the best treatment plan. We also answer all your questions about the process.
3D intraoral scan & treatment plan
We use the iTero 3D intraoral scanner to obtain a precise digital model of your smile, without the need for messy impressions. From this scan, we design a personalised plan in ClinCheck, where you can see how your teeth will move and what the final result will look like before we begin.
Delivery of the aligners
Once the plan is approved, you receive your first sets of custom-made aligners. We show you how to put them in, remove them and look after them correctly. To achieve the best results, you should wear them around 22 hours a day.
Check-ups and aligner changes
Every 4 to 6 weeks, we schedule a review appointment to make sure everything is progressing as planned. At each visit you receive new sets of aligners that continue to move your teeth gradually until we reach ideal alignment.
Final phase and refinements
Once all the alignment stages are complete, we evaluate the result and, if necessary, perform a refinement phase with additional aligners to perfect your smile. This step is essential to achieve an excellent final outcome.
Retainer wear
To prevent your teeth from moving back, we finish the treatment with Vivera® retainers, made from the same high-quality Invisalign material. They are transparent, comfortable and up to three times more durable than conventional retainers.
